Edward Joseph Falcey III
CENTREVILLE — Edward Joseph Falcey III passed away July 6, 2016, at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware, with his children by his side and surrounded by the love and support of his family; he was 67 years old. Born July 25, 1948, son of Ella Marie Melvin and Edward Joseph Falcey Jr., Ed, known to his family as “Butch” and af fectionately as “Frog” by his friends, lived life to the fullest.
He served as a communication specialist for the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War in 1968 and 1969. Ed managed various car dealerships, shipyards, and estates throughout his career. In life, Ed encouraged finding passion and his was music. This love of music was contagious, always introducing the new music to those around him.
His parents, grandparents, and his stepfather Norman D. Meredith Sr. preceded him in death. He is survived by son Skyr Grant Falcey and daughter Katia Bree Callan, their mother Jan Leibolt Falcey, son-in-law Jesse, grandchildren Flynn and Harper Callan; his siblings: Mary Jane (Edward) Lockwood, Norma (Daniel) Boone, Tina (Johnny) Cox, Sue (Brian) Zurvansky, Nellie Cockey, Kathy (George) Dana, and Jackie Meredith; as well as many dear family and friends who meant the world to him.
A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends at Conquest Beach.
