Nancy J. Hill
WORTON — Nancy Jeanne Hill of Worton died on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton. She was 65. Born Nov. 4, 1950, in Syracuse, N.Y., she was the daughter of George Franklyn and his wife Toni of Syracuse and the late Marian Genevieve Murphy Franklyn. She graduated from Thomas J. Corcoran High School in Syracuse and attended Pittsburgh Fashion School of Art College. Mrs. Hill managed a nursing agency in Pittsburgh, Pa., as well as a temporary employment agency also in Pittsburgh.
On July 28, 1990, she married David Hill. They lived in Pittsburgh until 2006 when they moved to Chestertown and resided at the rectory at St. Paul’s Church on Sandy Bottom Road while building their home in Worton. Mrs. Hill worked locally as a selfemployed interior decorator. She enjoyed sailing and traveling — especially summers in Maine and to England to see the grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, and had a love of cooking and was an accomplished cook.
In addition to her father and his wife, she is sur vived by her husband; three stepchildren, Laura Sabharwal, Rebecca Holburn and Emma Callanan, all of England; four sisters, Kathleen Morse, Lorraine Franklyn, Chris Mallary and Barbara Dayton; a brother, John Franklyn; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at St. Paul’s Parish, Kent, in Chestertown. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, following the service.
