WOR­TON — Nancy Jeanne Hill of Wor­ton died on Sun­day, Aug. 21, 2016, at Univer­sity of Mary­land Shore Med­i­cal Cen­ter at Eas­ton. She was 65. Born Nov. 4, 1950, in Syra­cuse, N.Y., she was the daugh­ter of Ge­orge Franklyn and his wife Toni of Syra­cuse and the late Mar­ian Genevieve Mur­phy Franklyn. She grad­u­ated from Thomas J. Cor­co­ran High School in Syra­cuse and at­tended Pitts­burgh Fash­ion School of Art Col­lege. Mrs. Hill man­aged a nurs­ing agency in Pitts­burgh, Pa., as well as a tem­po­rary em­ploy­ment agency also in Pitts­burgh.

On July 28, 1990, she mar­ried David Hill. They lived in Pitts­burgh un­til 2006 when they moved to Chestertown and resided at the rec­tory at St. Paul’s Church on Sandy Bot­tom Road while build­ing their home in Wor­ton. Mrs. Hill worked lo­cally as a self­em­ployed in­te­rior dec­o­ra­tor. She en­joyed sail­ing and trav­el­ing — es­pe­cially sum­mers in Maine and to Eng­land to see the grand­chil­dren. She en­joyed quilt­ing and gar­den­ing, and had a love of cooking and was an ac­com­plished cook.

In ad­di­tion to her father and his wife, she is sur vived by her hus­band; three stepchil­dren, Laura Sab­har­wal, Re­becca Hol­burn and Emma Callanan, all of Eng­land; four sis­ters, Kath­leen Morse, Lor­raine Franklyn, Chris Mal­lary and Bar­bara Day­ton; a brother, John Franklyn; and seven grand­chil­dren.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held at 1 p.m. Fri­day, Sept. 9, at St. Paul’s Parish, Kent, in Chestertown. In­ter­ment will be in St. Paul’s Ceme­tery, fol­low­ing the ser­vice.
