Her­bert Mahl Eger­ton

STEVENSVILLE — Her­bert M. Eger­ton, 57, a long-time res­i­dent of Stevensville, MD, passed away Aug. 24, 2016, at Anne Arun­del Med­i­cal Cen­ter.

He was the son of Ben­jamin G. Eger­ton Sr. and Jac­que­line M. Eger­ton, both de­ceased, and brother of Jac­que­line Sch­lueter, also de­ceased.

He is sur­vived by his wife Pa­tri­cia Spath Eger­ton, son An­drew, and daugh­ter Ni­c­hole of Stevensville. He is also sur­vived by three broth­ers: Ben­jamin Eger­ton Jr. of For­est Hill, MD; McKenny Eger­ton of Mid­dle­ton, DE; and Charles Eger­ton of Emer­ald Isle, NC.

Mr. Eger­ton was a grad­u­ate of The Gil­man School and Ithaca Col­lege. He was an in­de­pen­dent busi­ness­man and founded HPS Spe­cial­ties in Sav­age, MD.

He was an avid out­doors­man and spent his leisure time hunt­ing, fish­ing, and crab­bing in and around the Ch­e­sa­peake Bay.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life is planned for a later date.
