KIUMC to host Lights of Hope
CHESTER — The Addict’s Mom and the Kent Island United Methodist Church support group Together through the Chaos and Celebrate Recovery will host a Lights of Hope event Sept. 10, featuring guest speakers, words from recovering addicts and a candlelight vigil for those with loved ones suffering from addiction.
Guest speakers will include authors Lorelie Rozzano and Maureen Alexander and interventionist Joe Brat.
September is National Recovery Month. This event is intended to raise awareness of the issue of addiction in the community and bring a face and voice to those whose families are suffering.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at KIUMC, 2739 Cox Neck Road, Chester.
