CENTREVILLE — Two teenagers were given citations in Centreville on July 27 at 3:11 a.m. after an officer saw their car pull into a park after hours, according to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.

John Randolph Dieterie, 18, of Centreville and a female juvenile, age 15, were charged with a traffic citation for driving on a suspended license and a civil citation for the

possession of alcohol, respectively. When the officer made initial contact he found Dieterie had a suspended license as well as having taken his parents’ vehicle without them knowing, police said.

The office stated an odor of alcohol was present in the vehicle though the subjects denied having any. A mason jar with clear tequila was found in the rear of the vehicle, and the juvenile admitted to taking it from her parents.

Both teens were released to their parents at the scene.
