Centreville hosts Family Fun Night Saturday

Record Observer - - News -

CENTREVILLE — The Centreville Wharf will be host to the town-sponsored family fun movie night at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, as community members are invited to gather for games and a showing of the newest Star Wars movie.

This free event at the Centreville Wharf, located at 101 Water Way, will include a kids fishing derby that goes from 5 to 7 p.m. before the showing of “Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens” at 8 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their own poles, though the town has extra that it will allow people to use.

Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character for a chance to win a prize.

No rain date is scheduled, so if bad weather hits the area, the movie showing will be moved to Bigbie Shore Performance, which is the warehouse next to the wharf.

Popcorn, ice cream and soft drinks will be for sale on site, but attendees must bring their own chairs and blankets.

For more information, contact Centreville Town Hall at 410-758-1180.
