CENTREVILLE — First- through fifth-grade boys and their families can Rocket into Cub Scouting by attending Centreville Cub Scout Pack 129’s upcoming meeting Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6 p.m. at Centreville United Methodist Church.

This year all new scouts will receive a 10-inch Gnome model rocket to build with their families and launch at a Pack event with other scouts later in the year.

“Scouting is about having fun, camping, hiking, building and racing Pinewood Derby cars and Raingutter Regatta boats, as well as many other activities. Our boys learn new skills and gain a variety of experiences that other organizations just don’t offer,” said Bryon Johnston, assistant cubmaster. “We hope all boys will consider joining us as we start our new scouting year.”

Interested families also may email Angela DenHerder at amd2sam@yahoo.com to join or get more information.
