Cen­tre­ville Ro­tary in­vites pub­lic to join group

CEN­TRE­VILLE — The Cen­tre­ville Ro­tary Club will hold an in­for­ma­tional meet­ing, “What is Ro­tary,” on Thurs­day, Sept. 22, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in the Fel­low­ship Hall of the Cen­tre­ville United Methodist Church, 608 Church Hill Road in Cen­tre­ville.

Any­one in­ter­ested in learn­ing about Ro­tary or how the Cen­tre­ville Ro­tary Club sup­ports the com­mu­nity is in­vited to this free break­fast meet­ing.

The Cen­tre­ville Ro­tary holds a num­ber of fundrais­ers dur­ing the year, in­clud­ing the Ar­ti­sans Fes­ti­val, Oct. 1-2, at the 4-H Park. Ad­mis­sion and park­ing is free for the fes­ti­val, but do­na­tions are ac­cepted at the gate with all pro­ceeds from this an­nual fundraiser go­ing to sup­port lo­cal youth schol­ar­ships, shel­ter for vic­tims of do­mes­tic vi­o­lence, par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Ro­tary In­ter­na­tional project to erad­i­cate po­lio, Life­time Wells for Ghana — a clean wa­ter project in Africa and other lo­cal char­i­ties.
