Safe Sit­ter class set for Oct. 1 in Eas­ton

EAS­TON — The pop­u­lar Safe Sit­ter class, taught by pe­di­atric nurses for youth ages 11-13, will be of­fered on Satur­day, Oct. 1, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nick Ra­jacich Health Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­ter at Univer­sity of Mary­land Shore Med­i­cal Cen­ter at Eas­ton.

Safe Sit­ter is a na­tional, non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tion that pro­vides pro­grams to teach youth life and safety skills for when they are home alone, watch­ing younger sib­lings, or babysit­ting. More than 175 lives have been saved by Safe Sit­ter grad­u­ates us­ing their skills. More in­for­ma­tion about the pro­gram may be found at www.safe­sit­ter.org.
