Foxxi Lady Quil­ters seek par­tic­i­pants

SUDLERSVILLE — The Foxxi Lady Quil­ters are invit­ing in­ter­ested per­sons to its quilt­ing work­shop held at the Sudlersville Se­nior Cen­ter from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Mon­day, Oct. 17, and Tues­day, Oct. 18. It is the quil­ters’ goal to make seventy, 36-inch quilts. Th­e­ses quilts will be do­nated to the Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice. The deputies can pro­vide them to chil­dren of trauma when re­spond­ing to 911 calls.

As part of the group’s com­mu­nity ser­vice project the group is invit­ing guests to join them. The Foxxi Lady Quil­ters can use the ser­vices of sew­ers, pressers, quil­ters and bag­gers.

If some­one is un­able to at­tend the work­shop but would like to con­trib­ute, feel free to drop off com­pleted and clean quilts to the se­nior cen­ter be­tween the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Mon­day through Fri­day, prior to Dec. 6.

If some­one has nov­elty fab­ric that they would like to con­trib­ute, please drop it off at the cen­ter dur­ing reg­u­lar busi­ness hours.

Seat­ing is lim­ited, and all those in at­ten­dance must sign up as a se­nior cen­ter mem­ber. Please RSVP to Shel­ley at 410-438-3159 or swheat­man@qac.org prior to Oct. 11 and let her know in what man­ner you will be help­ing.
