Louise A. Pinder
QUEENSTOWN — Louise A. Pinder of Queenstown, MD, passed away on September 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 89. Born on Feb. 3, 1927, in Cambridge, MD, the daughter of the late John and Lillian Ruark Thomas, she grew up in Cambridge and attended school there. On Feb. 21, 1948, Louise married C. Irving Pinder and they moved to Queenstown where Louise was a homemaker.
Louise was a very active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. She was a Sunday school superintendent and teacher, a member of the choir, president of the United Methodist Women’s Society, Lay leader, and chairman of the outreach program for church. Louise was also caregiver to all of her grandchildren and some of her great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 68 years, C. Irving Pinder, Louise is survived by her children: Irene Stiller (Bob) of Queenstown; C. Irving Pinder Jr., (Sandy) of Centreville; Bonnie McCaslian (Charlie) of Taylors Island; Terry Cox (Les) of Queenstown; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
Services will be held on Monday, September 26, 1 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Queenstown, MD, where friends and family may visit beginning at noon. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
