CASA of Mid-Shore honors Champions of Hope donors
EASTON — To honor, acknowledge and thank donors for their support, CASA of the Mid-Shore held its fourth annual Champions of Hope Giving Society thankyou reception on Aug. 26.
The event was made possible through CASA board member Patricia Spitaleri and her husband, Vito, who hosted the cocktails and dinner reception at the Talbot County Country Club. Guests were introduced to master carver WG Sutter, who currently is working on a sculpture to be auctioned off at CASA’s May 2017 fundraising event.
CASA of the Mid-Shore’s Champions of Hope are donors who give financial gifts of $1,000 or more annually. At this year’s event, Executive Director Robin Davenport shared several stories with guests about how their support is an investment in hope for children.
“The longer I am with CASA, the more acutely aware I become that CASA is the voice in children’s ears telling them: ‘you matter; you can accomplish this; you’re smart; I believe in you’,” Davenport said. “We honor you as Champions of Hope because that is exactly what you have given us: the chance to provide hope to children.”
