4th De­gree Assem­bly Knights in­stall of­fi­cers

CHESTERTOWN — The Fourth De­gree Assem­bly of the Knights of Colum­bus in­stalled new of­fi­cers on Thursday, Sept. 8, in Chestertown.

The Father Lutz Assem­bly No. 2702 con­sists of Fourth De­gree Knights from three East­ern Shore coun­cils be­long­ing to the Knights of Colum­bus or­ga­ni­za­tion. The Father Lutz Fourth De­gree Assem­bly in Chestertown is a Catholic men’s group and has been ac­tive in com­mu­nity char­ity through­out the past year. The Assem­bly will fo­cus most on char­i­ta­ble work to­wards help­ing mil­i­tary veter­ans dur­ing the 2016–2017 term.

Kenny Platt Sr. was re­elected to lead the Assem­bly and is in his third term. Platt’s of­fi­cial ti­tle as the leader of the Assem­bly is Wor­thy Faith­ful Nav­i­ga­tor. Barry Dona­dio was re-elected as se­cond in command of the group. His of­fi­cial ti­tle is Wor­thy Faith­ful Cap­tain. He is ex­pected to take lead­er­ship of the Assem­bly by Septem­ber 2017.

“Kenny is won­der­ful and the per­fect per­son to lead such a pres­ti­gious group,” Dona­dio said. “I am hon­ored to serve in his staff.”
