Mar­i­juana found in traf­fic stop

CEN­TRE­VILLE —Mar­i­juana and a smok­ing de­vice were al­legedly found in a traf­fic stop on Route 309 at Back Starr Road on Tues­day, Aug. 30, ac­cord­ing to the Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice.

Deputy Michael Pi­asecki stopped a Toy­ota Ta­coma for al­legedly speed­ing and re­ported he smelled an odor of mar­i­juana. A search of the truck re­sulted in the seizure of a small amount of al­leged mar­i­juana and a smok­ing de­vice.

The driver, Mark Wil­liam Du­n­away, 39, of Millersville was is­sued a civil ci­ta­tion for the drug pos­ses­sion and a traf­fic ticket.
