West Annapolis Art­works to fea­ture sev­eral lo­cal artists

ANNAPOLIS — On Satur­day, Oct. 1, West Annapolis Art­works will host mem­bers of the Work­ing Artists Fo­rum in an ex­cit­ing new ex­hi­bi­tion called “Vis­ual Mo­ments.” From Oct. 1-29, mem­ber artists of Work­ing Artists Fo­rum will present their lat­est work in oil, wa­ter­color, pas­tel, acrylic and mixed me­dia.

WAF is a non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion of 90 painters liv­ing in and around the East­ern Shore — in­clud­ing Queen Anne’s County — who meet monthly in Eas­ton at the Academy Art Mu­seum for lec­tures, cri­tiques and demon­stra­tions Mem­ber­ship is es­tab­lished by a jury com­posed of fel­low artists.

On Oct. 15, from 3 to 6 p.m., West Annapolis Art­works will hold a re­cep­tion for the ex­hibit­ing artists. WAF in­vites their pa­trons to stop by the gallery, en­joy some light re­fresh­ment, meet the painters and see the de­light­ful work they are do­ing.

WAF mem­bers ex­hibit their work through­out the year, both sep­a­rately and to­gether, and have pieces in pri­vate and cor­po­rate col­lec­tions through­out the United States and abroad.
