CHURCH HILL — Queen Anne’s County Public Schools Teacher of the Year Tamara Forte, a kindergarten teacher at Church Hill Elementary received one of the perks of her title earlier in September when Mike Matson, general manager of Hertrich Ford of Easton, showed up at school to deliver a new car.

Each year Hertrich’s of Easton donates the use of a new vehicle — Forte received a Ford Escape — for the Teacher of the Year to use while they fulfill their duties as TOY.

Forte was joined by CHES principal Jacqueline Wilhelm, her students and CHES mascot Chester. Forte is also a nominee for Maryland Teacher of the Year.
