School board to talk su­per­in­ten­dent qualities

CEN­TRE­VILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 11 at the Board of Ed­u­ca­tion, 202 Ch­ester­field Ave., in the board room. This meet­ing was orig­i­nally an­nounced as Oct. 10, then changed to Oct. 11.

This meet­ing will open then move into closed ses­sion to dis­cuss the su­per­in­ten­dent search and iden­tify char­ac­ter­is­tics of the su­per­in­ten­dent with Wil­liam Mid­dle­ton, lead con­sul­tant for Mary­land As­so­ci­a­tion of Boards of Ed­u­ca­tion.

Meet Scar­lett, an adult dog with a gen­tle de­meanor and a su­per cute “per­ma­nent wink.” She’s a staff fa­vorite that has been at the An­i­mal Wel­fare League for al­most three years. Scar­lett loves women and wouldn’t mind be­ing an out­door dog. Her adop­tion fee is 50 per­cent off as part of the “All the Sin­gle Dog­gies” spe­cial un­til Oct. 15. Visit Scar­lett from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tues­day through Fri­day at the An­i­mal Wel­fare League of Queen Anne’s County, 201 Clay Drive in Queen­stown.
