Wayne Lester Hardy
HENDERSON — Wayne Lester Hardy of Henderson, MD, died suddenly on Thursday, September 29, 2016. He was 74.
Born in Baltimore on Oct. 5, 1941, he was the only son of the late Lester and Myrtle Hardy.
Mr. Hardy enjoyed a full life which began in Baltimore, until his move to the Eastern Shore in 1977. He worked in residential construction in his business Waymar Construction and later with Crystal Custom Homes, Ltd. and loved working. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, deer hunting, and cherished all the memories made with his cousins, sons and friends.
He was known for his love of storytelling, often offering advice to the younger generation about hard work and dedication. Many that knew him understood the value of his stories and realized he shared a piece of himself with every story told.
Wayne was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret (Bidinger) Hardy; his sons: Kenneth L Hardy, his wife Abbie Hardy of Queen Anne; and Dale W. Hardy, his wife Karen K. Hardy of Henderson. He had six grandchildren: Crystal (Hardy) Telle, Tiffany (Hardy) Samick, Rebekah Hardy, Nathan Hardy, Charles Whitcomb and Bryan Jewell; and three great grandchildren: Riley Telle, Joseph and Orion Kral.
