CHESTERTOWN — Brenda W. Horney passed away after a short battle with cancer on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Brenda was born on Nov. 3, 1944 in Parkville. She was the daughter of Brinton and Laura Warner. She retired from the Acme Market in Centreville after 38 years of service. During her retirement, she enjoyed being with family and friends. She loved to go camping, travel and ride a Harley Davidson with her husband and friends.
Brenda was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend — and lived life to the fullest. She is sur vived by her husband, Ronald Horney; sister Lynn Shaw and husband Joe; sons Martin and Franklin Callahan; stepchildren Donnie Wilkerson, Marilyn Ford and Connie Crossman; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her niece, Beth Glover.
A private graveside service will be held at Garden of Faith Memorial Gardens in Baltimore. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Chestertown firehouse from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 5.
