In­cum­bent Kel­ley run­ning un­op­posed

CEN­TRE­VILLE — In­cum­bent Capt. Bev­erly Kel­ley is run­ning un­op­posed for the Dis­trict 3 seat Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion. Kel­ley cur­rently sits on the board and has served since 2012.

Kel­ley said she de­cided to run again this term to con­tinue to pro­vide what she hopes is a voice of rea­son. Kel­ley was vo­cal on her po­si­tion ear­lier this year to re­tain Dr. Carol Wil­liamson as su­per­in­ten­dent and in lis­ten­ing to the stake­hold­ers who spoke out via email and in per­son dur­ing sev­eral of the board’s pub­lic ses­sion.

She said she wants to con­tinue to sup­port the staff and stu­dents to be suc­cess­ful and to con­tinue the pos­i­tive work be­gun un­der Wil­liamson’s lead­er­ship.

Kel­ley re­sides in Ch­ester and has a child who is cur­rently in the Queen Anne’s County Pub­lic School sys­tem.
