CENTREVILLE — It’s all “About Faces” at the new exhibit at the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council in Centreville. More than 40 black and white photos entries were submitted in the photo contest, sponsored by the council.

The call for artists went out in September to council members, photography clubs, and amateurs and professional photographers asking for the contestants to focus on the faces of the Eastern Shore. The entries will be judged on Tuesday, Nov. 1, by world renowned photographer and Centreville resident, Anne Nielson.

“We are so excited by the responses we received,’” said Rick Strittmater, Executive Director. “The quality of the photos is amazing.”

The exhibit will open on Friday evening, Nov. 4. with the announcement of the winners followed by a reception from 6 until 9 p.m.

A prize of $100 will go to the first place winner and $50 will go to the second place winner. Others will receive ribbons for Honorable Mention.
