Chesterwye to present site plan
STEVENSVILLE — The public is invited to attend the Nov. 10 Planning Commission meeting in which a site plan presentation for the proposed Chesterwye disabled adult facility, located at 325 State Street in Stevensville, will be given.
The Planning Commission meeting begins at 8:45 a.m. in the conference room of the new county office building at 110 Vincit St., Centreville. The building is across the street from Queen Anne’s County High School.
Chesterwye was founded in 1067 by a group of concerned citizens interested in aiding and providing services to children with intellectual disabilities. Later, as the children grew older and as services were needed in the county, the focus of support was directed toward adults with intellectual disabilities. Chesterwye owns nine homes in the county and each are handicapped accessible and can accommodate three to five residents.
