Regis­tra­tion is re­quired for the wrap bracelet work­shop to be held at the li­brary on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 10, at 6:30 p.m. This is for adults, 18 and older, and is free of charge. In this class stu­dents will learn how to weave a lad­der stitch with crys­tal beads on a leather cord to cre­ate a stun­ning sin­gle or dou­ble wrap bracelet with a but­ton en­clo­sure. This gor­geous bracelet will make a per­fect hol­i­day gift. Space is lim­ited, go to­cli­­en­dar.


Miss Jenny has all kinds of fun in Novem­ber for young peo­ple:

• Tues­day, Nov. 8 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.; those in grades K through 5 can come in an use our per­ler beads to cre­ate what­ever you like. Those young­sters, ages 2 to 5 can come in the same day at 10:30 a.m. to learn about a science topic.

• Tues­day, Nov. 15, those ages 2 to 5 with adult, come at 10:30 a.m. for para­chute fun.

• Regis­tra­tion is re­quired for a sewing ses­sion on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. for those in grades 3 to 6. Learn how to make a li­brary tote out of a Tshirt. All sup­plies are pro­vided.

• If you don’t want to make a tote, come in at 10:30 a.m. on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 16 for a spe­cial sto­ry­time about Thanksgiving.


You must also reg­is­ter for the one-on-one re­sume help for the one-hour ses­sions to be held on Satur­day, Novem­ber 12 and Satur­day, De­cem­ber 10. You must sign up with the pub­lic ser­vice li­brar­ian to cre­ate, edit and even sub­mit your re­sume. The times for each month are 10 and 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. You can reg­is­ter at qa­cli­­en­dar or with a staff mem­ber.


We will be hold­ing two craft nights at Centreville in Novem­ber and De­cem­ber for adults only and we have lim­ited space so regis­tra­tion is re­quired. All ma­te­ri­als will be pro­vided: for Novem­ber it will an en­chanted for­est dio­rama pump­kin and De­cem­ber it will be a painted ma­son jar snow­man. The dates are Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 23 and Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 28 at 6:30 p.m. Go to qa­cli­­en­dar to reg­is­ter.


You may find a num­ber of paperbacks free of charge on a cart by the front win­dow in the main read­ing room.
