OPEN SUN­DAYS Just a re­minder to our pa­trons. Both county li­braries are open on Sun­days, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

••• ROAD­SIDE CLEAN-UP Both county li­braries are co­op­er­at­ing with the county in the Road­side Clean-Up Event, Nov. 19-20 or 21, to help us ob­serve Amer­ica Re­cy­cles Day.

Both li­braries have sup­plies to use on the cleanup. Come in and pick up gloves, safety vest, black trash bag, clear trash bags and signup sheet. Guide­lines will be avail­able where the sup­plies are picked up. You may sign up on­line at www.qac.org or at a sup­ply lo­ca­tion such as the li­braries, or at the Queen Anne’s County Pub­lic Works, Fi­nance Of­fice, Plan­ning and Zon­ing and the Ch­e­sa­peake Her­itage and Vis­i­tor Cen­ter.

CLUB The Af­ter­noon Book Club will meet on Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. to dis­cuss Erin Mor­gen­stern’s novel “The Night Cir­cus.” It will be held in the li­brary’s meet­ing room and new mem­bers are al­ways welcome. ••• SIM­PLE SEW­ING Miss Jenny wants all young­sters in grades 3-6 to come to the li­brary on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 16, from 4

to 4:45 p.m. where you will learn how to make a li­brary tote out of a t-shirt. All sup­plies are pro­vided, but reg­is­tra­tion is needed. Sign-up to­day!

••• 2 CRAFT NIGHTS Reg­is­tra­tion is re­quired for ei­ther of the two craft nights to be held at the li­brary on Nov. 23 and Dec. 28 at 6:30 p.m. This is for adults only and there is limited space. All ma­te­ri­als will be pro­vided to make an En­chanted For­est Dio­rama Pump­kin in Novem­ber or a Painted Ma­son Jar Snow­man in De­cem­ber.

••• VOL­UN­TEER READ­ERS We still need Big Guys to read to Lit­tle Guys. A train­ing ses­sion was held at the Centreville Branch Nov. 9 and an­other will be held at the Kent Is­land Branch Li­brary on Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. The li­braries are co­op­er­at­ing with the county pub­lic schools with a Guys Read Project by the Ru­ral Mary­land Coun­cil and vol­un­teer read­ers are needed.
