Schools set Nov. budget meetings
CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County Public Schools will hold meetings across the county to talk about the fiscal 2018 budget process and obtain public input.
The school board is calling the budget information meetings town hall meetings. The first one took place Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Stevensville Middle School. The remaining meetings are set at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Centreville Middle School, 231 Ruthsburg Road in Centreville, and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Sudlersville Middle School, 600 Charles St. in Sudlersville.
School board members, Interim Superintendent Gregory Pilewski, Assistant Superintendent Janet Pauls, Chief Financial Officer Robin Landgraf, Director of Operations Sid Pinder, Director of Human Resources Mark Farley and Community Liaison for Education Equity Ed Modell will be present.
This is an opportunity for the public to learn how the budget is created, how local schools compare to other counties across Maryland in fiscal terms, and how they can par ticipate in the budget process.
