Fall Arts & Crafts Show Nov. 25-26
ROCK HALL — The Country Crafts Guild invites the public to celebrate its 34th anniversary by attending the annual Fall Arts & Crafts Show held on Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Nov. 25, and Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Rock Hall Fire House. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Proceeds from the $2 admission will benefit the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company. Children under 10 are admitted free. Refreshments and lunch will be available.
The fire house will be filled with a variety of unique arts and crafts on display by juried Country Crafts Guild members. New crafts this year include Fresca Frankie “up-cycled” jewelr y made from recycled soda cans, spent gun shells, bottle tops, wine corks and discarded library books. Each piece is hand-made and distinctively individual. Also new are hand-car ved ice fishing decoys, puppets, tooth fair y pillows, seatbelt pillows, lanyards, garden flags, casserole carriers, hand and foot warmers, fabric baskets, hooded scar ves, necktie headbands, Chincoteague Pony decorated pottery and small gifts for teachers.
Returning favorite collectibles include Christmas village houses, decorative and functional pottery, embroidered table linens, decorative gourds, felted animals, etched glass, vintage ephemera, Christmas ornaments and Christmas decorations, snowmen and Santas.
The Countr y Craft Guild, founded in June 1983, is an organization whose purpose is to promote the appreciation of handcrafted items and original artwork.
