Fall Arts & Crafts Show Nov. 25-26

ROCK HALL — The Coun­try Crafts Guild in­vites the pub­lic to cel­e­brate its 34th an­niver­sary by at­tend­ing the an­nual Fall Arts & Crafts Show held on Thanks­giv­ing week­end, Fri­day, Nov. 25, and Sat­ur­day, Nov. 26, at the Rock Hall Fire House. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Pro­ceeds from the $2 ad­mis­sion will ben­e­fit the Rock Hall Vol­un­teer Fire Com­pany. Chil­dren un­der 10 are ad­mit­ted free. Re­fresh­ments and lunch will be avail­able.

The fire house will be filled with a va­ri­ety of unique arts and crafts on dis­play by ju­ried Coun­try Crafts Guild mem­bers. New crafts this year in­clude Fresca Frankie “up-cy­cled” jew­elr y made from re­cy­cled soda cans, spent gun shells, bot­tle tops, wine corks and dis­carded li­brary books. Each piece is hand-made and dis­tinc­tively in­di­vid­ual. Also new are hand-car ved ice fish­ing de­coys, pup­pets, tooth fair y pil­lows, seat­belt pil­lows, lan­yards, gar­den flags, casse­role car­ri­ers, hand and foot warm­ers, fab­ric bas­kets, hooded scar ves, neck­tie head­bands, Chin­coteague Pony dec­o­rated pot­tery and small gifts for teach­ers.

Re­turn­ing fa­vorite col­lectibles in­clude Christ­mas vil­lage houses, dec­o­ra­tive and func­tional pot­tery, em­broi­dered ta­ble linens, dec­o­ra­tive gourds, felted an­i­mals, etched glass, vin­tage ephemera, Christ­mas or­na­ments and Christ­mas dec­o­ra­tions, snow­men and San­tas.

The Countr y Craft Guild, founded in June 1983, is an or­ga­ni­za­tion whose pur­pose is to pro­mote the ap­pre­ci­a­tion of hand­crafted items and orig­i­nal art­work.
