Ar­rest war­rant is­sued in ve­hi­cle thefts

STEVENSVILLE — An ar­rest war­rant has been is­sued for Tyler Lee Custer, 22, on charges of theft from ve­hi­cles on Kent Is­land.

The Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice in­ves­ti­gated numer­ous re­ports of tam­per­ing and thefts from un­locked ve­hi­cles in Bay City overnight Oct. 19. Items taken in­cluded a lap­top com­puter, a leather pouch con­tain­ing hy­giene prod­ucts and mem­ber­ship cards, a buck knife, cash, change, sun­glasses, a man’s di­a­mond wrist­watch, a gold link bracelet, a di­a­mond ring, a GoPro cam­era and a Garmin GPS.

Cars bro­ken into be­longed to Kevin Valenti, Kenneth Dou­glass Reed, John Bossert, Chaz Farkass, Michelle Bow­man, Phyl­lis Bow­man, Phyl­lis Brown, Ray Stang, Lisa Miller, Robert Ch­es­green, Re­becca Crois­sette, Oliva Gua­gia­rdo, Norma Markley and Arthur Shaw.

Po­lice found sev­eral of the jew­elry items had been pawned at TNT Jew­el­ers in Ch­ester for $775.

In­ves­ti­ga­tion pro­duced Custer as a sus­pect, and a war­rant is­sued. Custer’s last known ad­dresses were Centreville and North Carolina.

He is await­ing trial in Tal­bot County on charges of thefts from ve­hi­cles there.
