Arrest warrant issued in vehicle thefts
STEVENSVILLE — An arrest warrant has been issued for Tyler Lee Custer, 22, on charges of theft from vehicles on Kent Island.
The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office investigated numerous reports of tampering and thefts from unlocked vehicles in Bay City overnight Oct. 19. Items taken included a laptop computer, a leather pouch containing hygiene products and membership cards, a buck knife, cash, change, sunglasses, a man’s diamond wristwatch, a gold link bracelet, a diamond ring, a GoPro camera and a Garmin GPS.
Cars broken into belonged to Kevin Valenti, Kenneth Douglass Reed, John Bossert, Chaz Farkass, Michelle Bowman, Phyllis Bowman, Phyllis Brown, Ray Stang, Lisa Miller, Robert Chesgreen, Rebecca Croissette, Oliva Guagiardo, Norma Markley and Arthur Shaw.
Police found several of the jewelry items had been pawned at TNT Jewelers in Chester for $775.
Investigation produced Custer as a suspect, and a warrant issued. Custer’s last known addresses were Centreville and North Carolina.
He is awaiting trial in Talbot County on charges of thefts from vehicles there.
