Counterfeit bill passed at Royal Farms
GRASONVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a case of counterfeit currency.
The manager at the Royal Farms in Grasonville reported the fake $50 bill about 1 p.m. Sept. 21. An employee had accepted the bill at the cash register, police said.
A check of store’s video showed an African-American male had purchased cigarettes and a drink, receiving about $40 in change, police said. He was driving a BMW SUV with temporary tags.
