Elks host Hoop Shoot com­pe­ti­tion

STEVENSVILLE — The Kent Is­land Elks hosted the annual Hoop Shoot for boys and girls in the area on Satur­day morn­ing, Nov. 5, in the gym­na­sium at Mat­a­peake Mid­dle School,

The fol­low­ing are the re­sults, cham­pion and re­serve cham­pion for each age group spon­sored. Each com­peti­tor re­ceived 25 op­por­tu­ni­ties to shoot from the free throw line. The num­ber of shots each com­peti­tor made was recorded. The top plac­ing chil­dren will be advanced to the District cham­pi­onships. Boys, ages 8-9 Cham­pion: Dy­lan Can­non with 8 bas­kets. Re­serve Cham­pion: Brady Reis­ing with 6 bas­kets. Boys, ages 10-11 Cham­pion: Charles Tice with 9 bas­kets. Re­serve Cham­pion: Erick Long with 7 bas­kets. Boys, ages 12-13 Cham­pion: Joseph Mon­a­gan with 14 bas­kets. Re­serve Cham­pion: John Tice with 12 bas­kets. Girls, age 12 Cham­pion: Kelsie Hart with 14 bas­kets. Re­serve Cham­pion: Lau­ren Haber with 13 bas­kets.
