Heck with the Malls re­turns to Cen­tre­ville

CEN­TRE­VILLE — Heck with the Malls re­turns to Cen­tre­ville for an­other year of lo­cal hol­i­day shop­ping. For 20 years shop­pers looking for unique gifts have found those gifts at Queen Anne’s County Arts Coun­cil “Heck With the Malls,” the hol­i­day sea­son’s best ar­ti­san shop­ping ex­pe­ri­ence.

Over 40 ven­dors in two build­ings will dis­play and of­fer for sale gifts from pot­tery and prints to soap and sea glass. All items are uniquely hand crafted and pre­sented by lo­cal tal­ent.

The Dec. 3 event will be held from 9 a.m. un­til 2 p.m. at the Cen­tre for the Arts, 206 S. Com­merce Street, and St. Paul’s Church, 1 South Lib­erty Street, in Cen­tre­ville.

“We en­cour­age hol­i­day shop­pers to shop small and sup­port lo­cal ar­ti­sans,” said Arts Coun­cil Chair­man Tom Helfen­bein. Helfen­bein also noted lo­cal busi­nesses through­out Cen­tre­ville will also be par­tic­i­pat­ing with spe­cial of­fer­ings and dis­counts.
