Com­mis­sion­ers tour CTE pro­grams

CEN­TRE­VILLE — Queen Anne’s County In­terim Su­per­in­ten­dent of Schools Gre­gory Pilewski and County Com­mis­sion­ers Mark An­der­son, Jack Wil­son and Robert Buckey re­cently toured the Ca­reer and Tech­nol­ogy Ed­u­ca­tion pro­grams at Queen Anne’s County High School to col­lab­o­rate more on work­force de­vel­op­ment.

“Our County Com­mis­sion­ers are tremen­dous part­ners and sup­port­ers of our school sys­tem and to­day was a great op­por­tu­nity to col­lab­o­rate more on de­vel­op­ing a 21st cen­tury work­force,” Pilewski said.

The tour in­cluded ob­ser va­tion of ca­reer path­way pro­grams in the Health Pro­fes­sions, Au­to­mo­tive Tech­nol­ogy, En­vi­ron­men­tal Agri­cul­ture and Nat­u­ral Re­sources, Con­struc­tion De­sign and Man­age­ment, Cos­me­tol­ogy, and Home­land Se­cu­rity and Emer­gency Pre­pared­ness.

Also par­tic­i­pat­ing in the tour were As­sis­tant Su­per­in­ten­dent for In­struc­tional Ser­vices Janet Pauls, Queen Anne’s County High School Prin­ci­pal Dr. Angie Holocker and Su­per­vi­sor of In­struc­tion-CTE Tina Thomas.


Com­mis­sioner Mark An­der­son, Com­mis­sioner Jack Wil­son, and Su­per­in­ten­dent Greg Pilewski en­gage with stu­dents work­ing on con­struc­tion de­sign and man­age­ment projects.
