CENTREVILLE — Mildred Louise Schuyler of Centreville died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. She was 84.
Born on Sept. 25, 1932 in Slaughter Beach, Del., she was the daughter of the late James Edward Butler and Mildred Grace Smith. She attended schools in Queen Anne’s and Caroline counties. She married in 1952 to Marion Joseph Schuyler Sr. who predeceased her. They lived in Hope, where she operated their livestock farm, while she raised her family. Mrs. Schuyler also ran a goose picking business.
She loved her grandchildren, cooking for guests, her Chihuahuas, coffee and her animals. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Ann Patchett of Price, Brenda Lee Crouse of Sudlersville and Ella Louise Kerr of Chestertown; seven grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Marion Joseph Schuyler Jr.; her brothers, Leonard Layton Butler and James Edward Butler Jr.; and a sister, Shirley Anne Larrimore.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 26, at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where relatives and friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, following the service.
