CEN­TRE­VILLE — Mil­dred Louise Schuyler of Cen­tre­ville died on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Shore Med­i­cal Cen­ter at Chestertown. She was 84.

Born on Sept. 25, 1932 in Slaugh­ter Beach, Del., she was the daugh­ter of the late James Ed­ward But­ler and Mil­dred Grace Smith. She at­tended schools in Queen Anne’s and Caroline coun­ties. She mar­ried in 1952 to Mar­ion Joseph Schuyler Sr. who pre­de­ceased her. They lived in Hope, where she op­er­ated their live­stock farm, while she raised her fam­ily. Mrs. Schuyler also ran a goose pick­ing busi­ness.

She loved her grand­chil­dren, cook­ing for guests, her Chi­huahuas, cof­fee and her an­i­mals. She never met a stranger and was al­ways will­ing to help any­one in need.

She is sur­vived by her daugh­ters, Char­lotte Ann Patch­ett of Price, Brenda Lee Crouse of Sudlersville and Ella Louise Kerr of Chestertown; seven grand­chil­dren; and 10 great­grand­chil­dren.

She was pre­de­ceased by her son, Mar­ion Joseph Schuyler Jr.; her brothers, Leonard Lay­ton But­ler and James Ed­ward But­ler Jr.; and a sis­ter, Shirley Anne Lar­ri­more.

Funeral ser­vices will be held at noon on Satur­day, Nov. 26, at Fel­lows, Helfen­bein & New­nam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where rel­a­tives and friends may call one hour prior. In­ter­ment will be in Church Hill Ceme­tery, fol­low­ing the ser­vice.
