Holiday crash leaves one critical
CENTREVILLE — A crash early Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 24, left two people seriously injured. According to Maryland State Police the accident occurred when a pickup truck crossed the center line on Rt. 213 between Wye Mills and Centreville striking another vehicle head on.
Sgt. T. Redpath said the crash occurred at 1:51 a.m. when a Chevrolet pickup driven by Frances Connolley, 52, of Chestertown crossed into oncoming traffic. Emma Parsons, 25, of Queenstown, was the operator and sole occupant of the Ford Taurus struck by Connolley.
Units from the Goodwill Volunteer Fire Department, Queenstown Volunteer Fire Department, Queen Anne’s County Emergency Services, and Mar yland State Police responded to the accident. Both drivers were transported by MSP helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
Parsons is still listed in critical condition, said Redpath. Connolley, who also sustained multiple injuries, is reported to be in stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation, Redpath said.
