Grasonville Elementary celebrates Grandparents Day
GRASONVILLE — On Nov. 22, Grasonville Elementary held its Grandparents and Special Friends Day, which started off with the PTA hosting a welcome gathering of grandparents and special friends in the school media center to have coffee, juice and pastries.
Grandparents then went down to visit their grandchildren’s classrooms and spent time doing various activities with their loved one in the classrooms. Following the classroom visits, grandparents were treated to a special production put on by the students of Grasonville Elementary.
This year’s production had the theme of healthy habits where students sang about eating healthy, brushing their teeth, exercising and more. After the show, grandparents returned back to the classrooms to enjoy more classroom activities with their grandchildren. It is a special time of year for both faculty, students, and grandparents at Grasonville Elementary.
