Jeohovah’s Witnesses attend assembly
CROWNSVILLE — Jehovah’s Witnesses from Queenstown and from the Delaware towns of Felton, Georgetown, Laurel, Milford, Seaford, and Woodside attended a Circuit Assembly program in Crownsville on Saturday, Nov. 19.
The Biblical theme for the program was “Maintain Love for Jehovah,” taken from the scripture found at Matthew 22:37. There were also talks, interviews, demonstrations, personal experiences on the program described and examples of how persons who apply the Biblical principles in their lives can maintain their love for the Jehovah God and his son, Jesus Christ.
Numerous Biblical verses were read to explain and highlight points as individuals and family members in the audience followed along in their personal copies of the Bible.
Practical suggestions were given to help all 971 who attended to continue working on their love for God Jehovah by studying His word in the Bible.
How all could apply the encouragement, “Do not lose the love you had at first,” was featured in the afternoon helping all in attendance to keep their love strong for God Jehovah.
One of the highlights of the assembly on Saturday morning was the baptism of six persons in demonstration of their personal dedications to Jehovah God.
This program was one of many Circuit Assemblies which took place in various locations throughout the United States on the same weekend.
Similar programs are conducted in countries around the world for more than 8.22 million Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide. All of these meetings are open to the public, and no collections are taken.
