CENTREVILLE — The town of­fice has an­nounced the names of the 2016 Centreville Christ­mas Pa­rade and Tree Dec­o­rat­ing con­test winners. Pa­rade floats Best Over­all: ELB In­cor­po­rated

Most Orig­i­nal: 1st, Girl Scout Troop 534; 2nd, Ad­kins Ar­bore­tum; and 3rd, Tri Gas & Oil.

Keep­ing with the Theme: 1st, Wags & Whin­nies 4-H Club; 2nd, FFA — Queen Anne’s County Chap­ter; and 3rd, Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice.

Christ­mas Tree Dec­o­rat­ing Con­test 1st – Girl Scout Troop 152

2nd – Girl Scout Troop 591

3rd Tie – Girl Scout Troop 1271

Honor­able men­tions were awarded to Soft­ball Sis­ters; Wye River Up­per School; Girl Scout Troop 1008; Girl Scout Troop 446; Day Care Inc.; Troop 182; Troop 1005 and Girl Scout Troop 591.

Two trees were dec­o­rated with no name found.


ELB In­cor­po­rated’s ELB Ex­press pro­duced snow from its smokestack. The float won Best Over­all in the Centreville Christ­mas Pa­rade.


Girl Scout Daisy Troop 152 took first place in the Centreville Christ­mas Tree Dec­o­rat­ing Con­test.
