Two hour free park­ing ap­proved in Centreville

The Centreville Town Coun­cil unan­i­mously ap­proved bag­ging the park­ing me­ters in town for the hol­i­day sea­son dur­ing its Thurs­day, Dec. 1, meet­ing, al­low­ing peo­ple to park for free up to two hours. Park­ing in down­town will re­main free un­til the end of the year.

School board meet­ing post­poned to Dec. 14

CENTREVILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion meet­ing orig­i­nally set for Dec. 7 has been moved to Dec. 14 at board room at 202 Ch­ester­field Ave, Centreville. The meet­ing be­gins at 4:30 p.m. The board has an­nounced it in­tends to go into closed ses­sion at 5 p.m. and re­open at 6 p.m., times ap­prox­i­mate.

School board mem­bers will be sworn in at this meet­ing.

Christ Church to host West­min­ster Ringers

STEVENSVILLE — The West­min­ster Ringers will ring in the hol­i­days at Christ Church Parish Kent Is­land at 7 p.m. Satur­day, Dec. 10, at the church, 830 Ro­man­coke Road, Stevensville. The con­cert is free and open to the pub­lic. Call 410-643-5921.
