County should address traffic issues

Record Observer - - News -

I attended the transportation meeting that was written about in the Nov. 11 edition of (the Record Observer). I read with interest when it was mentioned one of our commissioners stated “we need help now ... critical months with traffic issues ... volumes of vehicles ... affecting local businesses, citizens and emergency services .... ”

I find it ironic that the developments our county planning board approves and then pass favorably through the commissioners involve 200 to 1,100 new apartments each. Yet, they seem unable to see how their actions will impact our traffic concerns.

You know it is said, remove the beam from your own eye first before talking about the speck in someone else’s. HELEN BENNETT
