We will have an­other Mati­nee Movie at Cen­tre­ville in Jan­uary and Fe­bru­ary, with free re­fresh­ments, be­gin­ning at 2 p.m. each time. The movie on Fri­day, Jan­uary 13, will be “Florence Foster Jenk­ins,” star­ring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant. On Fri­day, Fe­bru­ary 10, at 2 p.m. the movie will be “Sully” with Tom Hanks star­ring as the air­line pi­lot Ch­es­ley “Sully” Sul­len­berger who made an emer­gency land­ing on the Hud­son River in Jan­uary 2009, sav­ing all pas­sen­gers.


Reg­is­tra­tion will be re­quired for any­one wish­ing to at­tend the li­brary on Wed­nes­day, Fe­bru­ary 15, at 6 p.m. with an in­tro­duc­tion to Ge­nealog­i­cal Re­search.

Please re­mem­ber oth­ers not so for­tu­nate this hol­i­day sea­son. The li­brary has an Adopt-a-Bear tree in the Main Read­ing Room and a large box to drop off do­na­tions be­ing asked by Girl Scout Troop 163 for peo­ple who were vic­tims of the wild­fires in Ten­nessee.


You can reg­is­ter at the li­brary for the Cookie Ex­change to be held Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 11, at 6 p.m. Bring in a batch of cook­ies and your recipe to ex­change with oth­ers.


Look over the free books, hard­backs and pa­per­backs avail­able for tak­ing on the cart by the win­dow in the Main Read­ing Room.
