RE­QUIRED The li­brary has three cour­ses for the pub­lic in Jan­uary that re­quires your reg­is­tra­tion in ad­vance. The Gale Cour­ses Ori­en­ta­tion will be Tues. Jan 10, at 5:30 p.m. Ev­ery Body Yoga will have a ses­sion on Mon­day, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m., that all are wel­comed to at­tend after reg­is­tra­tion. The YA Book Club is Wed­nes­day, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.

• Gale cour­ses are free on­line classes of­fered through your li­brary. Choose from over 300 cour­ses in­clud­ing com­puter classes for all skill levels, test prepa­ra­tion, writ­ing, dig­i­tal pho­tog­ra­phy, med­i­ta­tion and many more.

• The Ev­ery Body Yoga class is a mind­ful be­gin­ning to a new year and no ex­pe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary. All are wel­come into this healthy, non-judge­men­tal prac­tice. Mind­ful­ness, the act of be­ing present and pay­ing at­ten­tion, can help you feel less stressed and more alive. We will prac­tice a few sim­ple tech­niques for med­i­tat­ing or be­ing present. Us­ing sim­ple tools like: gen­tle move­ment, breath­ing prac­tices, walk­ing and even mind­ful eat­ing, you will be­gin to re­al­ize how pow­er­ful this prac­tice is .

• Bring your crafti­ness to our new new­est book club, YA Book Stitch on Wed­nes­day, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. Bring your new­est craft project to work on while we dis­cuss the YA book of the month “The Lifeboat Clique” by Kathy Parks. This is for adults and teens with mul­ti­task­ing at its best!

••• MATI­NEE MOVIE The li­brary will have an­other free Mati­nee Movie on Fri­day, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m., with free re­fresh­ments for all. The movie will be “Florence Foster Jenk­ins” star­ring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.

••• RE­SUME HELP You can sign up with our Pub­lic Ser­vices Li­brar­ian for a 1-hour ses­sion to cre­ate, edit and even sub­mit your re­sume on Satur­day, Jan. 21, at 10 and 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.


MISS JENNY For all young­sters ages birth to 18 months, with an adult, Miss Jenny wants you to come on Fri­day, Jan 13 and Fri­day, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. to en­joy an hour of un­struc­tured play and so­cial time for chil­dren and their care­givers. En­joy books and de­vel­op­men­tally ap­pro­pri­ate toys. A won­der­ful time to in­tro­duce your lit­tle ones to li­brary, make new friends, and play!
