REQUIRED The library has three courses for the public in January that requires your registration in advance. The Gale Courses Orientation will be Tues. Jan 10, at 5:30 p.m. Every Body Yoga will have a session on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m., that all are welcomed to attend after registration. The YA Book Club is Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.
• Gale courses are free online classes offered through your library. Choose from over 300 courses including computer classes for all skill levels, test preparation, writing, digital photography, meditation and many more.
• The Every Body Yoga class is a mindful beginning to a new year and no experience is necessary. All are welcome into this healthy, non-judgemental practice. Mindfulness, the act of being present and paying attention, can help you feel less stressed and more alive. We will practice a few simple techniques for meditating or being present. Using simple tools like: gentle movement, breathing practices, walking and even mindful eating, you will begin to realize how powerful this practice is .
• Bring your craftiness to our new newest book club, YA Book Stitch on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. Bring your newest craft project to work on while we discuss the YA book of the month “The Lifeboat Clique” by Kathy Parks. This is for adults and teens with multitasking at its best!
••• MATINEE MOVIE The library will have another free Matinee Movie on Friday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m., with free refreshments for all. The movie will be “Florence Foster Jenkins” starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant.
••• RESUME HELP You can sign up with our Public Services Librarian for a 1-hour session to create, edit and even submit your resume on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 10 and 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.
••• BABY PLAY WITH
MISS JENNY For all youngsters ages birth to 18 months, with an adult, Miss Jenny wants you to come on Friday, Jan 13 and Friday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. to enjoy an hour of unstructured play and social time for children and their caregivers. Enjoy books and developmentally appropriate toys. A wonderful time to introduce your little ones to library, make new friends, and play!
