Brian Hav­i­land of Gra­sonville named to Academic All-OAC team

BEREA, OHIO — Brian Hav­i­land of Gra­sonville is one of 28 Bald­win Wal­lace Univer­sity fall stu­dent-ath­le­tles to be named to the named to the 2016 Academic All-Ohio Ath­letic Con­fer­ence team.

In or­der to be se­lected as Academic All-OAC a stu­dent-ath­lete must have at least a 3.50 cu­mu­la­tive grade point av­er­age, be in res­i­dence at the school for at least a year and main­tain var­sity sta­tus.

Hav­i­land, who earns his first Academic All-OAC honor as a men’s soc­cer goal­keeper, is a pre-en­gi­neer­ing ma­jor that car­ries a 3.762 grade point av­er­age. He is a stu­dent as­sis­tant in the ath­letic com­mu­ni­ca­tions of­fice.

Hav­i­land has ap­peared in three games and has al­lowed five goals and made 13 saves with one vic­tory.
