Sudlersville man ar­rested for DWI, traf­fic crash

SUDLERSVILLE — Deputies were dis­patched to a Sudlersville ve­hi­cle crash that in­volved an im­paired driver on Dec. 2 at 11:18 p.m., ac­cord­ing to the Queen Anne’s County Sher­iff’s Of­fice.

Michael Ed­ward Durham, 27, of Sudlersville, al­legedly crashed a white Chevro­let Cruze through a wooden fence and into a parked Dodge Truck, which then struck the door of a de­tached garage, po­lice said. Po­lice looked in the ve­hi­cle and saw sev­eral open beer cans, po­lice said.

Durham orig­i­nally stated he had fallen asleep, but when asked if he had been drink­ing, po­lice re­ported he ini­tially said “a cou­ple” but then changed his an­swer to “five or six.”

Po­lice con­ducted field so­bri­ety tests, then ar­rested Durham and charged him with driv­ing while im­paired and is­sued six traf­fic ci­ta­tions. He was re­leased at the scene to a sober driver.
