Sudlersville man arrested for DWI, traffic crash
SUDLERSVILLE — Deputies were dispatched to a Sudlersville vehicle crash that involved an impaired driver on Dec. 2 at 11:18 p.m., according to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Edward Durham, 27, of Sudlersville, allegedly crashed a white Chevrolet Cruze through a wooden fence and into a parked Dodge Truck, which then struck the door of a detached garage, police said. Police looked in the vehicle and saw several open beer cans, police said.
Durham originally stated he had fallen asleep, but when asked if he had been drinking, police reported he initially said “a couple” but then changed his answer to “five or six.”
Police conducted field sobriety tests, then arrested Durham and charged him with driving while impaired and issued six traffic citations. He was released at the scene to a sober driver.
