Stevensville man charged with assault
GRASONVILLE — A Stevensville man was charged with second degree assault in connection with an incident with his former girlfriend on Nov. 4, according to the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Gravel Run Road, Grasonville, for a verbal domestic incident that turned physical as the officer was in route.
On arrival, the officer located a male sitting in a passenger car with a female standing outside the car yelling. The two were separated and interviewed. The male said the female had struck him several times but there were no evidence of injuries.
The female said the male had driven her to her residence and entered the home, yelling at her, and then struck her on the side of her face, causing her to bite her lip which was bleeding.
The investigation indicated the two had broken up that day via text message.
The male, identified as Jeffrey Lamont Black, 30, of Stevensville, was charged with second degree assault.
