‘Small Works’ ex­hibit to make big im­pres­sion

CEN­TRE­VILLE — The Queen Anne’s County Arts Coun­cil will host the open­ing re­cep­tion for the “Small Works” ex­hibit on Fri­day, Jan. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. Each en­try is a con­tri­bu­tion from a lo­cal artist and is a part of a ma­jor fundraiser for the coun­cil.

Guests at the open­ing event and all events held at the build­ing dur­ing the du­ra­tion of the ex­hibit may pur­chase tick­ets for a draw­ing to be held at the clos­ing event on Feb. 25. The coun­cil ex­pects to draw as many as 500 peo­ple dur­ing the Jan. 6 through Feb. 25 ex­hibit.

The ex­hibit is en­ti­tled “Small Works” be­cause each piece is con­fined to a small size. Two di­men­sional pieces can be no larger than 9”x9” and three di­men­sional works are lim­ited in size to 9”x9”x9”.
