Los Taxes tax service opens in Centreville
CENTREVILLE — Los Taxes tax preparation services held its grand opening Thursday, Dec. 29. Los Taxes is the first and only Latino network of tax centers in the U.S., specifically servicing the growing Latino community across the nation.
Los Taxes franchises were founded in 2007 by company President and CEO Javier N. Solis, who was present for the Centreville grand opening. The company’s focus is offering a culturally sensitive service, meeting the needs of the Latino community in reference to tax preparation and financial services “in a business environment that makes their clients feel very comfortable.”
Queen Anne’s County residents Daniel and Aidy Jeffers have opened this franchise office, located at 121 East Water St., almost directly across the street from the Centreville Post Office.
The Los Taxes mission statement reads: “To provide honest and reliable income tax preparation service to the Latino community in a culturally sensitive office environment where taxpayers can find financial assistance in their language and culture offered by trained tax practitioners whose integrity and respect to system regulations are above all.”
Minimum fees for the simplest tax return forms begin at $60.
Regular hours are 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Hours during tax season are 3 to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Appointments and walk-in. Walk-ins will complete intake and set up appointment.
