Roundup: Lions reach 8-0 be­hind Hu­dock

Thurs­day, Jan. 5 GIRLS’ BAS­KET­BALL Queen Anne’s 73, Colonel 32 CEN­TRE­VILLE — MaKenzy Hu­dock’s 20 points and 15 re­bounds helped the Lions re­main un­de­feated at 8-0, 6-0.

Emily Poad had 17 points and eight re­bounds for Queen Anne’s, which also got strong play from Emma Hill (11 points, six re­bounds), Madi­son As­cione (10 points, six re­bounds, six as­sists) and Mea­gan Luke­hart (eight points, six as­sists).

Kent Is­land 93, St. Michaels 20 STEVENSVILLE — Han­nah Mo­ran scored 23 points and Se’Ri Miles 18 to lead the un­beaten Buc­ca­neers.

Blair Goodrich fin­ished with 16 points and Nina Ci­fo­lilli had 10 points for Kent Is­land (80, 6-0). Wed­nes­day, Jan. 4 GIRLS’ BAS­KET­BALL SSPP 55, Gun­ston 24 EAS­TON — Me­gan Hickey’s 23 points and seven steals led Saints Peter and Paul, which im­proved to 7-1 over­all, 3-1 in the Eastern Shore In­de­pen­dent Ath­letic Con­fer­ence with the vic­tor y.


Queen Anne’s MaKenzy Hu­dock, above driv­ing to the bas­ket against Eas­ton dur­ing a Dec. 8, 2016 game, notched a huge dou­ble-dou­ble with 20 points and 15 re­bounds, last Thurs­day against Colonel Richard­son. Hu­dock also went for 12 points and 12 boards ear­lier last at North Dorch­ester, and the Lions are now 8-0 over­all and 6-0 in the North Bay­side, tied with county ri­val Kent Is­land for the top spot in the divi­sion.
