Al­le­ga­tions that the Queen Anne’s County Board of Ed­u­ca­tion al­lowed a for­mer em­ployee to de­mand sex­ual fa­vors of fe­male school bus drivers has yet to be re­solved.

It has been more than three years since the al­le­ga­tions sur­faced and nearly four months after a se­ries of pub­lic hear­ings on the claims in Cen­tre­ville.

“It’s like a cloud hang­ing over us,” said John F. Smigo Sr., the deputy su­per­in­ten­dent of Queen Anne’s County schools. “Any­time you’re wait­ing for any kind of de­ci­sion like this you want to get it over with.”
