Sharon Lock­wood Ad­di­son

AN­NAPO­LIS — Sharon Lock­wood Ad­di­son was born on April 7, 1945, in Jersey City, NJ, to Miriam (Quirk) Lock­wood and the late Charles Lock­wood Jr. She at­tended Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey; grad­u­at­ing class of 1963. She then con­tin­ued her ed­u­ca­tion at the Fash­ion In­sti­tute of Tech­nol­ogy in New York; grad­u­at­ing in 1966. She be­gan a ca­reer in re­tail mer­chan­dis­ing, work­ing as a buyer for Bam­berg­ers, Saks Fifth Av­enue, Fi­lene’s and Coun­try Cur­tains in Con­necti­cut. She later be­gan her own busi­ness, Car­riage Cur­tains. Her last three places of em­ploy­ment were Li­lyette and Ster­ling in New York and St. John Knits in Queen­stown.

On April 12, 1997, she mar­ried Ken­neth Wynn Ad­di­son and resided in Red Bank, NJ. In 1999, they moved to Queen­stown, MD, and in 2015 to An­napo­lis, MD.

Sharon was an ac­tive mem­ber of the Demo­cratic Club of Queen Anne’s County.

In ad­di­tion to her hus­band, Ken, she is sur­vived by two step daugh­ters, Julie Ad­di­son and He­len Ad­di­son; and two broth­ers, Charles Lock­wood III and Mark Lock­wood.
