LETTERS TO THE EDITOR President deserves public’s respect
The assault continues on our newly elected President by the liberal press, politicians and voters on him trying to make our country a better place to live and also be safer. He has only been doing what he promised on his run to the White House. Nothing any different. On the “Today Show” this past Sunday, it was noted that he has deported more people than any other President while just in office. What a bunch of fake news. This only incites the voters all the more. Why wasn’t anything reported about the 2.5 million that our past President deported during his eight years in office?
This President is only doing what the Constitution allows. Wanting to defund Planned Parenthood is not so bad. If they are using Medicare dollars for abortions, then they are committing murder. I, as a Roman Catholic, believe that life begins upon conception. I’m hoping, amongst millions of other Christians, that “Rowe vs. Wade” is repealed.
Hopefully, President Trump, upon filling some vacancies on the High Court, will bring back the death penalty. Our court system is flawed. Criminals do not get the sentences they deserve. Why as taxpayers should we be housing, feeding and paying for medical needs for them?
I also agree with his stance on Sanctuary Cities. If you want to harbor people who unlawfully entered this country, then yes, deprive them of their tax dollars; those who came in legally should be safe and treated with dignity.
We need to bring law and order back to our country. We also need to bring back prayer and the daily reciting of The Pledge of Allegiance.
Instead of being divided, we need to be united. I wonder how many of these people that are out protesting actually went to the ballot box to cast their vote?
Also, the Press needs to address the President, as Mr. President, not Mr. Trump. (They also did the same thing to President Obama). President Trump, was elected to serve the free world. Show him the respect he deserves.
