Four from QA among Green Bag ap­point­ments

ANNAPOLIS — Gov. Larry Ho­gan on Fri­day sub­mit­ted 189 ap­point­ments to the Mary­land State Sen­ate. Sec­re­tary of Ap­point­ments Chris Cavey pre­sented the Sen­ate with the names of the “Green Bag” nom­i­nees, in­clud­ing four from Queen Anne’s County.

“The ap­point­ments we sub­mit­ted to­day rep­re­sent our ad­min­is­tra­tion’s con­tin­ued com­mit­ment to the peo­ple of Mary­land to pro­vide the most re­spon­sive, com­pe­tent, and well-qual­i­fied rep­re­sen­ta­tives that Mary­lan­ders de­serve and ex­pect,” Ho­gan said. “I am proud that these men and women are re­flec­tive of the di­verse na­ture of our state, and I look for­ward to see­ing the great things they will ac­com­plish as we con­tinue to Change Mary­land for the Bet­ter.”

This year’s Green Bag in­clude ap­point­ment nom­i­na­tions for more than 70 dif­fer­ent boards and com­mis­sions.

From Queen Anne’s County, Wayne Richards has been ap­pointed to the board of directors for the Mar yland Agri­cul­tural and Re­source-Based In­dus­try De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion; Lily Beng­fort has been ap­pointed to the Mary­land State Arts Coun­cil; Au­drey Scott has been ap­pointed to the board of trus­tees of the Au­to­mo­bile In­sur­ance Fund; and Stephen H. Souder has been ap­pointed to the Emer­gency Num­ber Sys­tems Board.
